Description: Hi all! This is my original WW1 M16 helmet shell. Marked ET66 with a faint lot number in the dome which I think is 8514. The shell is in beautiful condition only very minor pitting in some areas and a minor barely noticable ding in the dome of the helmet. No repair work or filler just a nice condition shell well worthy of restoration. I stripped the post war paint down to the bare steel cleaned it up and resprayed to restore as a transitional but decided I did not like the overall finish paint was wrong etc. Hence where it is sanded I removed decals ready to repaint. It only has the one layer of paint and could be easily covered no hassle. I will throw in a decent quality 3 pad repro liner as well. Although I have this up for sale I would prefare to do a trade/exchange for a M35 helmet/shell. Must be in good condition ie. No major pitting or repair work and would prefare a size 66 shell although will consider others! Payment to be made by paypal upon agreement of sale. Item is described honestly so no returns once sold. Sorry if p&p seems excessive! It is a heavy helmet and I will want to send recorded delivery! Will only post within UK. Cheers! Sean.

Description: Nice untouched and complete M40 Heer up for grabs at a good price. NS64 and batch number D120, named nicely to an H. Poppe twice, once on skirt and once on liner --- also some other illegible markings, possibly rank. Uffz. (?) Possibly picked up in Calais, came straight from Vet's family - Rivervalleymilitaria - then me. Looks to have had a pin replacement, most probably ww2 (obviously been there for decades judging by dust buildup and untouched look matching that of the brass ones). Has that nice untouched combat look to it! adding some possible info on the soldier (more than likely correct as long as this is indeed a KIA western front pick-up): Hans Poppe, Unteroffizier. Born 22.11.1924 in Münster -- killed 30.09.1944 in Calais. Now buried in a war cemetary in Bourdon. Buyer pays for registered shipping only, no packing fees of any kind --- will be shipped promptly upon paypal payment.

It's condition is very nice although there are some stains under the collar from oxidation of the metallic pins. Nothing visible on display as you can see from my set up.
