Kriegsmarine Breast Eagle

Description: Kriegsmarine Tunic Breast Eagle. Die stamped construction. Alloy, Great condition.  Measures 95mm wingtip to wingtip. Does show signs of gold/brass gilding/wash.  Their appears to be a makers mark on the reverse, bottom feather of the Eagle. It appears to be an arrow shaped mark but I am unable to see anything specific even under magnification. Eagle is in great condition with no chips.dings or bent wings. The bottom hook is loose inside the mount. It is not cracked or broken, it just loose. I’m sure a small piece of solder will fix it but I will leave that up to the buyer.   Shipping will be $5.00(usd) for the 48 States and I will get a quote for International shipping.

Description: This is an extremely rare German FPP Greatcoat in immaculate condition (RATING FROM 1 - 10 THIS IS A 10). This coat is one of the best you can get /find for its age, it has no tears, rips, moth nips or wear. The coat is made of a wool fabric in a Dark Navy Blue with a woollen fabric complete lining.  The inner sleeves have a ‘White’ / Dark Blue stripe lining. The epaulettes (shoulder boards) have two pips with a Red (Rose Pink) border and Red (Rose Pink) back board. The buttons are 22mm aluminium front stamped with EXTRA FEIN on the rear. Sizes:- Chest:-                                  40” Across Shoulder:-                   18.5” Arm Length:-                         25” Collar to Hem:-                      48” In 1939, a different branch of the police was organized for the purpose of better protecting the cities against fires resulting from air raids. The resulting units were designated Feuerschutzpolizei (Fire Protection Police). All of the larger German cities were required to convert their existing fire brigades into these new police fire-fighting units which came under Himmler’s control.   Members were responsible for all fire-fighting related duties in towns or cities large enough to support a fire-fighting unit. These units were under the direct authority of the local police system which provided greater authority to the fire-fighting brigades. The size of each Fire Protection Police unit was determined based on the population as well as the general operational area covered. In some cases larger units were established in cities that were heavily industrialized or were determined to be at particular risk for air-raid attacks. Fire Protection Police played a critical role following the onset of large scale allied bombing attacks. Members were responsible for fighting fires both day and night in addition to keeping general order in conjunction with other police units.  The fire-brigades in the realm were then subordinated to the realm Minister of the Interior as a police troop.
