1939 Bar to the Eisernes Kreuz EKII
This was given to soldiers who had already won the EKII in WW1 and went on again to be awarded the EKII in WW2. Instead of getting another Iron Cross they were given this award.
The award was worn on the ribbon of the EKII in the buttonhole.
It came in two sizes, the larger issue peice and a smaller "Prinzen" private purchase version.
I will show my issue version first which was ground recovered from Poland. The prongs are missing from the reverse.
