1939 Spange zum Eisernen Kreuzes 2er Klasse 1914

I did just bought this cool 1914 Repetition clasp. The previous owner was knight cross holders Oberst Dr.Herbert Müller.

Looks like an first type with the curved edges as opposed to straight edges to the 1939 box.

Question if I may, how is this known to have belonged to Dr.Herbert. I'm not doubting it did, just curious how this is known. Thank you

The auction page did have lots of different things to him, in a big group. But they did not get them sold. so they did split them up, into smaller parts and sold them cheaper.
