Default 2 Iron Crosses - Real or Fake???

Hi all! I have a couple Iron Crosses I'd like to run by the experts to see what you all think about their authenticity. You guys have always steered me right and I enjoy reading your feedback.

If you wouldn't mind, I'd like to know what specifically these are as well (which class, etc). I'm learning a lot about badges and medals, but still have a long way to go.

The photos aren't awesome, but should (I think) have enough detail to get the job done. Let me know if more photos are needed and I'll see what I can do.

Please check my other posts too if you don't mind. I'll be posting several other badges for review.

    Thanks!
    Dzyner

Hi D, both are good original items.

The pin back one is an EKI or Eisernes Kreuz (Iron Cross 1st class) while with the one with the suspension ring is an EKII. (Iron Cross 2nd class).

Please look up the correct German names in the pinned list at the top of the forum. You can also research the maker of the EKII from the pinned makers list too. Search number "65" which you can see is stamped on the suspension ring. Just noticed the EKI is also maker marked under the catch.

    Cheers, Ade.

'65' is for the firm Klein & Quenzer.

    Nice EK's there, dzyner ! !

Both EKS are original, the EK1 is by Deumer, the L/11 mark is under the catch and the EK2, as has already been pointed out, by Klein & Quenzer.
