2 x Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse - '93' Richard Simm & Sohne

Hi,

I have two marked '93' Richard Simm & Sohne EK2, but the size of the wings are different.

The first cross measures 27 mm and the second 26 mm.

Can the size vary in production, or is it two different type of frames?

This can happen, however I am not awfully keen on the second cross but that is another matter.

Wings? I guess you mean the arms and the measurements taken along the edge? Try measuring side to side and top to bottom and see if there is any difference.

Yes, the arms. The measurements along the edges are 45x45 mm on both.

Yep, just I don't like the second one even though it is a fine piece

I dont find anything troubling, just I don't like the cross, I never said it was fake

(Thick black, sharp frame e.t.c)

Thanks for the reply Adrian, so the arm size can vary along the edge since one was 1 mm larger?
