'39 spange 2nd class id

Article about: I sure you are correct Kenneth, however they just look 'fat' compared to the detailed large feet on your example Nick

    had er for awhile, looks just like deumer unmarked ones ive seen.
    any help fellas ?? the pictures were taken with my cell, no megapixels .ughClick image for larger version.

    I think the neck is too long for a Deumer. Here is mine to compare.

    hey guys just tried to load a killer pic of the spange, but cannot .
    its an aspx file , and photobucket will not let me get the new pics up.
    if anyone can tell me how i may be able to fix this drop a message,
    i do accept emails so i can email the pics if someone is willing to help with an id on er,

    These EK Spangen are not my forte really (I have only one EKI Spange myself, no EKII Spange yet), but the design in question is for sure not of Deumer. It reminds me most of the design that Funcke & Brüninghaus (L/56) used on their 2nd pattern EKII Spangen. The curvature of the "leg" of the last '9' in the box is especially characteristic of the design of this maker as I recall it.

    ps I agree, clearly not a Deumer !

    I do not quite understand your concern over the "oversized" talons, Nick - proportions of the talons look just right for a L/56 IMO.
