Now this medal I do remember. The box appears to be for a ww1 EK1 but this is how it came from the house here on the Island where it had been left at the end of the Occupation. I got a number of other pieces from the place including 2 spange in the boxes with cartons, and a naval honour clasp as well as some other more common pieces. They were bought when I was 17 and cost £7 a piece. I have listed the other items else where on the forum for you to see.

The cross is certainly a Souval and the carton is WW2 not WW1 so they match !

That's one Souval EK1 set I would be pleased to own.

    Nick,
Sorry for the confusion, the "box" I meant was the medal box, not the card one. I think its a ww1 medal box as it has a domed lid which I don't think they used in ww2. maybe you know?
    All the best,

No, the domed case was commonly used in WW2.
So, a very nice and original set indeed.

Blimey, so for 30 odd years I thought the medal had the wrong box somehow..... we live and learn.
    Thanks,
