Cased L/13 Screwback EK1

Article about: Guys, I am not very knowledgeable on cases. What do you think please? I cant remember seeing a black cusion and the ink stamp L/13 doesnt sit comfortably. Cross is good Many thanks Nick

    I'm sure I've seen a black lined case before but they are very uncommon. Is it lined with the flock type material as we see on the white lined cases?

    The L/13 stamp in that position also doesn't sit well with me. I've never seen an EK1 case with the lid interior ruined with an ink stamp such as this. I can't believe it was done in the factory and passed fit for sale like it. On the base, yes but surely not in the lid.

    Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....

    I agree Adrian, why stamp it there?

    Its for sale and there are no pics of the lining unfortunately.

    One of those that needs a bit of investigating methinks. Hard to write it off completely but definitely an anomaly if original.

    I don't think I would risk my money as it will always have a question mark above it.

    Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....

    This appears to me as a possible factory/production sample...called a "Musterstueck"...
