Early Boeger spange
I don't venture into TR land very often but I do like the 1939 EK spangen.
The price of early pieces has always been well out of my comfort zone but
I found this early Boerger at a really good price.
It's pretty beat up but I think it makes a good place filler.

Yours still has more silvering than mine. Unfortunate about the damage.

Congrats on your "new" item :-D
I like these a lot too, find it hard to destinguish good from bad though, and I donīt have any YET myself :-/
Wir kapitulieren niemals !
Still a nice item especially if it doesn't fit your mainstream collection.
Given the damage it might be a candidate for very light and sympathetic restoration.
Here is mine to compare;
"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing he cares more about than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature with no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."
