    Correction: I think it is more correct to write 'erster' instead of 'erste' as I first wrote - this is the genitive form of the adjective. Then it means The Iron Cross of the First Class.

    I'm no expert but isnt your version in the singular? I attempted to write, Iron crosses first class , who knows Should it be ' Eisernes Kreuze.. ??
