Hi,

I have noticed that a lot of very nice cased L/11 has been around for a time now on several different dealer sites. There is no doubt that they are original, but why so many now? Have someone stumble over a big find?

Anyone that have a comment on this?

I dont think there will be any particular reason.

Deumer was a most prolific manufacturer and produced German medals on such a large scale that L/11 Ek1's are very common on the collectors market.

They are quite a common combination to find as Nick says. As dealers find them and add them to their sites the total slowly builds. Most EK1 collectors will have one in their collection and therefore fewer get sold and that's why they appear prolific. It's the same with some common makers of EK2s, you can find many by the same maker for sale, it's down to demand, the common makers languish on sites for ages while the rarer and more desireable get snapped up quickly.
