Sorry, I have to disagree with Nick. In my opinion this is a fake cross. The core, the frame, the hinge, pin and catch are nothing like I would expect to find on a Meybauer cross nor indeed any other maker.
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
