Hi Everyone.

Got a nice 1st class Iron Cross here, but it has no maker mark. It came off a uniform, which belonged to a unnamed Hauptmann of the Tannenburg recon unit. Can anyone identify a possible manufacturer going by the pin hinge or date possibly?

Would appreciate any info.

Hi Alan,
Looks like a BH Mayer to me - maker '26' (LDO # L/18.)
Maybe one of the other EK collectors can confirm........

Thanks Adrian. What parts have you used to gain that conclusion? Does any body have another one that we can compare or even have a stamped example with matching features?

I'm going by the pin, hinge, date and beading nearest the swastika.
I know Nick (Wolfspear) and Fabri have examples of this maker so hopefully they can compare their crosses to yours and confirm if I'm anywhere near right!
