Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse / Legit or fake?

Dear Members,

Was wandering if I could have your views on whether the attached EK2 is legit or not.

1. The core is magnetic
2. The seam is not easily discernible but using a thin sheet of paper I notice that same goes under the bead. As such I assume it is 3 piece construction.
3. The frame is strangely shiny (I am used to see more patina and less shiny color)
4. I cannot make out any makers mark in the ribbon ring although there is something that I cannot discern whether it is a flaw or an actual mark.

Please let me know what your thoughts are about the cross and ribbon.

Attached please find some additional pictures. I apologize in advance if I am breaching any picture protocol. Rest assume that I will thoroughly review the links provided.

One of the pictures shows the mark (which I am not sure if this is a makers mark indeed or just a hit / flaw).

It is important to me to know whether this item is legit or not so I would be obliged for your kind opinion.

Now that I notice the Mark a little bit better, the first digit looks like a 9.

Looks like 9\L. Sorry for my ignorance and eyesight.

That is definitely a maker's mark, although I am unable to read it.
Please be patient, someone will come along that will be able to help you.
You will be more likely to get answers if you try to post your photos the right way up.

Meantime, I believe the number reads 24 after further inspection. I am not sure if this makes any sense.

Hi Martin,

To my eyes the cross looks pretty similar with the one in your collection. The black color in mine is chipped of in certain points but other than that looks identical. I don’t see any deviations on the placement or font of the dates + no deviation on the frame.

So shall I safely consider this to be a legit cross?
Do you know any details about the Maker?
What about the ribbon? Any doubts about its authenticity (was given to me along with the cross as authentic)
How much do you think is the fair value of this cross?

IMO yes.

Yes it has a wide frame and sometimes a ”extra mark” on the jump ring.

What about the ribbon? Any doubts about its authenticity (was given to me along with the cross as authentic)
Looks good to me.

How much do you think is the fair value of this cross?
Collectors to collectors approximately 55-65 euros, retailers about 25% more IMO.

Good '24' as has been said, ribbon is fine too. I'm not sure what's going on with the core though, seems to me like it was repainted in some places.
