    Hi TK,
The box, the cross, the mark on the box?
It all looks ok from your photo, an Imperial EK2 made in the TR era in a private purchase LDO box marked for Schauerte & Hohfeld.
It would be very good to see some more photos of the set though.

Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....

Ok here are some more pics, this came in this case with this paper I believe, just wanting some ID? On the ring is also L/54 on it, my macro shots are not the best. Sorry. If you zoom in you can see better.
    Thanks Adrian

Thanks for the extra pics TK. I stand by my original post and for me it is an original L/54 - Schauerte & Hohfeld, Ludenscheid - matching set in very good condition.
Manufactured for private purchase during the Third Reich era for anyone who had earnt the EK2 during WW1 and wanted a spare (for a medalbar as an example) or as a replacement piece. If you can get any better pics of the frame details it would be good to match it to other L/54 EKs.

As Ade Stephenson mentioned in a previous thread, I too believe
the paper tag goes with the 1939 'spange'. It is the same
    size as it's box............
    Regards,

Do you know what it says? If I knew what it said I could match it up...and actually Steve it (the paper) is bigger than the maroon box, 1939 spange, unless it just came with it. It won't fit inside. To big.

It appears to be some sort of control tag for the LDO............

Hmm, (sigh) I just thought it might belong to the EK2, but I might be wrong
