Hi guys,
I have been offered a couple of Iron Crosses for trade and wanted to get some opinions on them. I cant make it out but the cross on the right is does show a makers mark.
What do you guys think?
Thanks

Both are good original EKs Kirby. The example on the right might be a '123' but better pics are needed to be absolutely sure.
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
Thank you both very much! When I get the crosses Ill post the details.

Hello there,
While both are good period crosses I believe the TR version to have a replacement ribbon.
William Kramer
William, I kind of suspected that as well. Thanks for commenting on it.

I do agree that looking at the condition of the cross against the condition of the ribbon they didn't start out together but the replacement ribbon looks period.
It will be interesting to see when the better pics are posted.

Here is some more pictures of the cross in question or ribbon in question. The maker mark is hard to read but I believe its 123 Beck Hassinger & Co. The ribbon is an original but as far as being original to the cross I dont know. It does appear to be in much better shape then the cross although the photo makes it look better then it really is.
The 1914 cross does appear to have a maker mark but its not legible. May be the better photos will reveal the maker?
Thanks again for the help everyone!
