Eisernes Kreuz ground dug relic

Today I got this relic Eisernes Kreuz from wk1 and I'm thinking about making a small electrolysis bath for it (any other better cleaning process?). What do you think guys, would it be worthy? What about the piece of stone on it's side, will it fall off along with the rust removal process?

I'd leave it as it is but only because I like relics. If you do try giving it a clean I'd be worried that the core might crumble more when all the crud has come away. If I had a couple I'd give one of them a go with electrolyte.

It is worth a try.
Electrolysis may turn it into a decent piece. It sure as hell won't hurt it.

I would not use electrolysis on such a rusty relic --- it would surely eat away a lot more than desired. I'd rather venture into some type of acid treatment, of which I feel citric acid would be the gentlest and most controllable. Up to you, I would personally stay away from electrolysis in this case...
