Re: Eisernes Kreuz I. klasse with case - but no serial
It's a Souval cross. If it's pre- or postwar, I not sure.

Re: Eisernes Kreuz I. klasse with case - but no serial
IMO this is an accepted wartime Souval cross.

Firstly is this an original, is the case original as well - any idea of the manufacturer?
Yes, both are original, but the thing is that Souval made a lot of crosses after the war also.
But I think this is all right.

Great news! Many thanks to everyone for your reply.
It's just great to collect these EK, however the fear we (I mean non experts at all) have is to purchase a fake.
So the manufacturer would be Rudolph Souval - any idea why no serial had been marked? That would be L/58, right ?

Re: Eisernes Kreuz I. klasse with case - but no serial
Not all crosses were marked. But yes, L/58 or L58.
When you are about to buy a new cross, post it here for opinions, if you have doubt.

What is it that identifies it as a Souval specifically?
