I'm finding Schickle is a rare/hard maker to find, what gives this away as being a Schickle?

So, I have a question since I am not a major collector of medals, does the cloth backing make this from a Luftwaffe soldier?

It's not as common as an St&L, but not very rare either. Otto Schickle went out of production in 1941, so every medal/badge they made is early war quality and with low production run.

Those sharp inner corners and unique dates give this one away as a Schickle piece. Please do a search for "Schickle EK2" and I'm sure you'll find some to compare.....
