Hello !
In one of my previous questions I asked about the EK II case. I got a reply, which coincided with my opinion. I thought myself too, that mine case was a postwar production. But I started to read a really good book and I found an interesting thing. Picture 3 “EK II was usually donated in packs - envelopes, but sometimes the award was given in black leather boxes.”Has someone seen the real wartime EK II case ? enni

I would be reasonably sure that the case is not of wartime production but I would like to see more photos of it if possible. The EK and ribbon look good though.

I know, that this case is the post war production. My question was, has anyone ever heard something about EK 2 cases. I have some EK1 with cases, but EK 2 ....... enni

Sorry, I misunderstood the question. Yes, the EK2 did come in cases. These were normally the private purchase LDO marked crosses in LDO marked cases.
Unfortunately I don't own any but they do exist.
