I handled this dangerous fake 3 months ago, yes the core with the not correct date design, the back is very close with an original and maker mark L73 doesn't exist.

The date jumped out at me being very much like a Floch. Is this something different than what we know as a Floch Fabri or is it a new generation from this maker/faker?

What i mostly fear of is the die cast copies. They use original pieces and make exact copies. If high quality materials are used, how can we tell the difference? Only if someone has an exact copy with another collector and comparing them they can see the similarities. I almost got burned recently with a 1939 spange, but fortunately a member had the exact same cast copy with the same scratch and informed me. If i find the thread i'll post the link.

I 'm not sure Adrian but I think a new generation from this faker, probably Daniel knows more. The fake I handled was bought last September from an Italian collector in a militaria shop in Munich, near the Oktoberfst place..
