Hello Nick,
Really fantastic collection!
As what you said you nearly collected all the makers and variants.
160 pieces of EK II 1939?
Or, 160 pieces of EK II and EK I?
I am also trying to collect all versions of EK II and EK I.
But up to now, I just collected 50 pieces.
Hahaha
Still long way to go!
MfG,
Wolfgang
wow!!!!
Nick,
That is a magnificent display of your EK collection! What a beautiful awards they are!
A few of us have collected EK2s for many years and I dare say have collectively acquired 99% of the makers and variants.
Unfortunately a complete collection is very hard to obtain as new variants are discovered every year with the dedication and research by the collecting community.
I doubt if anyone has actually held every maker and every variant but don't let this put you off. It is an extremely rewarding endeavour and and exciting hunt for that next maker.
I suggest you start off collecting the marked PKZ crosses and the the LDO and pick up the variants as and when they come along.
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
I'll be in the UK in mid July, Nick. You should plan to have your sock drawer emptied and all contents ready for me to drool over.
Wow what an awesome collection! I'm jealous
At the moment i have 64 different EK II, but i must admit that is a hard job to find some or to understand wich variant (es. frame or core) it is...
I belive I need a better book about EK IIs with specific of every producer and category....
@Adrian you wrote about new EK IIs??? Can you pls tell me more?
