EK l Schinkel 1939 made by Godet

This rare type of EK l class was made by Berlin Godet firm. Never seen another one like this little beauty.

My opinion is that it is a fake cross originating from Eastern Europe. Godet didn't make Schinkel crosses and this exact same type of pin set up is commonly seen on these fake crosses. Godet also didn't stamp their EKs with such a makers mark either.
The uneven frame edges are also indicative of the Eastern European fakes too.

I agree with you Adrian, this is a well known fake.
The obvious give-away is the extended flange areas on the outer corners of the arms.
Also found in EK2 form....
