I can't comment on the maker but has the EK1 had the core repainted? It looks too glossy to be an original finish, if so that would put me off buying it alone.

EKII is not a Zimmermann, "23" with Meybauer core maybe?

I don't think the EK2 are a #23.. But it certainly have a Meybauer core.

I don't see a Meybauer core there.
The 1st class is a Wachtler & Lange, the early type with round catch. Paint is strange, seems polished to me.

you can not not find a good Meybauer with this core, also the frame is not correct for a Meybauer cross (or 23).
