Yes, Gauss were not a maker of EK1s. If you look at this site which is in the Useful Reference Links thread, you will find all the makers of EK1s and each variant thereof photographed.
The photos above are not good enough to be of use but luckily the shape of the pin is distinctive as it looks like a '26' - BH Mayer. Can't help you with authenticity though because of the photo quality.
