Worn Original ek1 in the first photos.
As for maker i couldnt tell you. Have to wait for Adrian to help you with it.
The second ek i dont know.
1st one is a cracker,
i cant make the first cross at all im beat! i asked the woman what she thought the maker mark was as it is hard to make out and she thinks its 59?
i dont think its an orth cross like the second cross posted
its an early one Nick yes? ive never seen the maker on the pin before
looks like they forgot to round of the inner beading to the right upper corner too
Thank you Gents for your input, like always highly appreciated
Will try to buy them both!
When all is well, and i succeed in buying them, i will post some decent pictures here to enrich our databank!
Cheers Ger
Hi Nick,
Alois is the L/59, this one is only marked 59.....that is Louis Keller Oberstein
this one also lacks the strange control stamps of Rettenmaier.
I bought both the crosses ( 59 +15) + a 25x25cm cast iron 1914 which came from a dimanteled WW1 Monument that stood once in Kiel.
The big black EK-1914 is a cracker for any EK collector
will post some good pictures later...
Cheers Ger
