From those pics it looks like a genuine, vaulted EK1 that has lost its finish. I have a couple in the same condition

    Nick,
I wake up at night sometimes in fear about loosing the finish on my EK collection. What is the main deteriorating factor in finish reduction in your opinion. I want to make sure I am storing them properly!

    Lol! So do I!

I dont think any cross kept in dark ambient conditions will ever loose it's finish.i think the ones we see have maybe been exposed to the elements at some stage
