"In all my years as a soldier, I have never seen men fight so hard." - SS Obergruppenfuhrer Wilhelm Bittrich - Arnhem
A great grouping with the benefit of the provenance with the documentation, always more appealing personally, I really need to get myself one of these soon
Reading his death card he was fatally wounded on the Eastern front in 1941. I wonder under what circumstances as he was an assistant doctor

Terrific grouping and a very finer cross.
His grave is in Russland, in a place called Malaja Vischera. Death card only says that he got wounded and died and that he took part in the campagne against France.
Thank you Gents for all the great replies!!
Adrian you lucky bird 3 great pieces!!!
i have tried to read the 2 Feldpost letters, my German is pretty good but they are hard to read, but i like the paper it was written
