Great Adrian! It will save us "going over to the other side" to check makers

Very nice cross Steve, great condition and looks to retain a certain amount of frosting.
The list that militarymania posted is the entire list, not all companies listed made all the awards, so with regard to EK2s the list of manufacturers who made them is less than half the size!
In fact here is the list of EK2 makers I've collected:

    1 - Deschler
    2 - Juncker (unmarked)
    3 - Deumer
    4 - Steinhauer & Luck
    5 - Herman Wernstein (?)
    6 - Fritz Zimmermann
    7 - Paul Meybauer
    11 - Grossman & Co
    13 - Gustav Brehmer
    14 - L. Chr. Lauer
    15 - Friedrich Orth
    16 - Alois Rettenmaier
    19 - E. Ferd Weidmann
    21 - Gebr. Godet & Co
    22 - Boerger & Co
23 - Arbeitsgemeinschaft fur Heereshedarf darf In der Graveur-u. Ziseleurinnung
    24 - Arbeitsgemeinschaft der Hanauer Plaket-ten-hersteller
    25 - Arbeitsgemeinschaft der Graveur-Gold-und Silberschemiede-Innungen
    27 - Anton Schenkl
    38 - Unknown (?)
    40 - Berg & Nolte
    44 - Jakob Bengel
    52 - Gottlieb & Wagner
    55 - J. E. Hammer & Sohne
    56 - Robert Hauschild
    60 - Katz & Deyhle
    65 - Klein & Quenzer
    66 - Friedrich Keller
    75 - Unknown
    76 - Ernst L. Muller
    86 - Paulmann & Crone (Always unmarked)
    93 - Richard Simm & Sohne
    98 - Rudolf Souval
    100 - Wachtler & Lange
    106 - Bruder Schneider
109 - Walter & Henlein (Unmarked but in correct packet for this maker)
    113 - Hermann Aurich
    120 - Franz Petzl
    122 - JJ. Stahl
    123 - Beck, Hassinger & Co.
    125 - Eugen Gauss
    128 - S. Jablonski
    132 - Franz Reischauer
    137 - J.H. Werner
    138 - Julius Maurer

I'm fairly sure I've got all the currently known PKZ examples, maybe Danny can add his thoughts, as I'm certain he has one from each maker too.
Talking of ribbon length, have a look here: http://warrelics.eu/forum/orders-dec...-length-19313/ Fischer has posted a great reply (#4) which demonstrates the answer to your question.

Steve, it is a great cross, and up here the price for a maker marked one
is about $130 to $160, so you did well.

Ribbons of only 4 or 5 inches are what is usually seen these days.
They were probably cut in more recent times also, to put on
crosses found without, to jack up the price a little.

When awarded, Iron Crosses were worn on the second button hole
hanging from their ribbons, but only on the first day of their award.
After that first day, only the ribbon was worn.

Most guys I know including myself, like longer ribbons.

    Regards, Steve.

Hi, the cross finally arrived today. Here's some more photos as promised.
I think it was worth the wait. It's in better condition than I thought. It is really nicely made. I have never handled a WW2 EK, but I have 2 WWI semi-salty EK's for over 40 years my father gave me when a kid.

I really like this medal, it's very crispy in it's details and workmanship. I wanted a salty one, but after seeing and handling this one, I'm glad I got a better condition, and a maker marked cross. The price was very fair also.

Hope you enjoy photos...also a pic of my other badges/medals so far.
They are nice to display with my gun and grenade collections.

    Regards, Steve

    Extremely nice, Steve.

Looks even better in these photos. It really is a beauty !

I like the 'Crown Royal' bag they are on too....... I used to keep my 'Alleys'
or marbles in a bag like this so many many years ago !

( This really is a terrible site. I now am on the hunt for almost every
variety of TR medal and badge ever made ! - Thanks, Steve .............. ! )
    Regards,

    Steve.

Thanks Esteban, she is is a pretty one. The CR bags are very useful, I have many saved from the old days A very tasty and evil beverage, that I rarely indulge in anymore.
