This is another cross from my little collection, mounted on single bar.
The "Hakenkreuz" is raised above the core, as a little stair, and this peculiarity not is easy to find. (from what I know & IMHO).
This 3 round is also a feature of earliest production, after the "Schinkle form".
    I hope you like it.

    Very nice R3 indeed Gew

I think Adrian refered to the raised Hakenkreuz as "on a pedestal"

Excellent cross Massi, the thick type frame being my favourite.
Here is mine, same frame albeit more worn than yours and a different core, no stippling on the surface and the swastika directly on the core, no pedestal.....

    Thanks Nick & Ade.
A friend of mine is owner of Iron Cross 3 round, same frame of mine and your, and paper box marked on rear : Deschler.
The disctintive point is a 2nd dipping 1 on rear date 1813.

Spectacular crosses, I would love to hold one in my grubby little hand! I promise I would clean it well afterwards. Thanks for showing.

That's interesting, the 'thin' type seems more Deschler. At least in terms of how we know the suspension ring hump with the recess from their regular EK2s.
