Good morning mate. Yeah i know that getting a loan is not logic. I know that there are things i will have in my collection and things that i will also have but as photos I could never buy a RK, nor a SS visor. I would prefer to spend 5, 6 or 7 thousand euros , if i had them, on my house or to buy a motorcycle with side car like Sonny's But not to get an RK even it is a dream to own something like that.
Unless of course i was a very rich guy, which apparently i'm not.

P.S. I've checked the pinned list and there are 142 makers including the unknown ones. I have 7 WWII crosses so that's why i said 135 left.

Chris, you have two very nice additions there congrats

There are not as many makers as you think, this is the list from Adrian that I go by!

    Nick

    Hi Nick,
This is the list of known EK2 makers I've been able to collect. There are a few grey areas by which I mean there is the '109' - who knows which cross this maker produced? The '5' marked crosses - real or postwar marked? Then there are the unknown but genuine crosses, like the two I posted in threads entitled 'Unknown EK2 # 1' and #2 respectively, the 'Odd Date' type etc etc.....
My list below is just the PKZ makers. Some collectors may agree, others will disagree but no-one has raised any major issues with it so I'm content I've collected the makers I can and am happy the list is as accurate as anyone the next person's! +

The list Nick have posted are the right one IMO. 45 different makers. Then there are the LDO´s, Schinkels, Round 3 and some other known crosses.
So I think you will have about 70-75 crosses, when you are finish.

Thanks for posting the list Nick, I couldn't find it last night. Sonny is correct but it also depends how deep you want to go into collecting the EK2s. If you wanted to go the whole way you would need to collect all variations by all makers. For example there are two variations from Zimmermann, Anton Schenkl and Godet, about twelve variations of the K&Q core, many different Juncker cores, then you have the different extra marks on the suspension rings from maker '24' and a lot more besides. The list goes on.......

And then of course you will need to collect the different ribbon mounts and styles.......

Hello guys. Thanks for the list Nick, that's good to hear. So 45 makers is something i can achieve hopefully. But i wouldn't want to go as deep as Adrian described. I would have gone crazy that way

That's pretty much where I'm at now Chris! Everytime you think you've made some headway, another missed variant comes along! I can't remember how long it took to complete my PKZ list, two or three years I think specifically collecting the marked examples. How long has it taken you Nick? I know you have a few that can be found marked but you've obtained a representative example of, which makers fall into that category?
