    Hello All,

For a long time I have been on the lookout for a nice, small antique display case to house my crosses. And as I prefer cased examples, a shadow box was out of the question.
My other dilemma was that my collection is now so small, using something like one of the large ikea glass cases would look ridiculous - they would be lost inside it. However, last weekend I found this old display case in an antique shop, and with only 19 medals to go into it, I believe it is possibly the best I will find.

There are a couple of repro cases in there and the Deutsche Kreuz in Gold is a postwar Souval. (I never really did like DK's, but I have that one in there to compliment the '57 S&L DK, and I have no intention of splashing out a couple of grand on a genuine wartime DK - especially when I don't even like them!)

Apologies for the crappy night-time iphone photographs, but my camera is on the blink.
Anyhow, let me know your thoughts.... keep the display or back into the box??

    Regards - Danny

That's a cracking display case and it compliments your awards well.

Would covering the rear wall with black velvet or similar enhance it a bit?

Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....

Thanks guys, I appreciate the positive comments.

    Adrian,
I have been considering the same idea myself!. I have a feeling that black might be too dark and have been toying with the idea of a dark purple/blue - rather like the colour found on the inner tray of some Imperial EK1 cases.
