Article about: Hello All, Yesterday I decided to get the remaining items from my collection out for a group photograph (yes, any excuse will do!). Mainly EK's with some ID's etc, It doesn't look like a lot

    Hello All,

    Yesterday I decided to get the remaining items from my collection out for a group photograph (yes, any excuse will do!).
    Mainly EK's with some ID's etc, It doesn't look like a lot but I am still happy with what's still there.
    Hope you all like them.

    Here's the latest inventory:

    1870:

    EK2 - A type with 25 year Jubiläumsspange
    EK2 - B type with 25 year Jubiläumsspange & Wiederholungsspange (?)

    1914:

    EK1 - Cased S-W
    EK1 - CD800

    EK2 - KO x 5 (3 are parade mounted)
    EK2 - KO cased.
    EK2 - S-W (with 1870 style B type core)
    EK2 - JWS (with 1870 style A type core)
    EK2 - G
    EK2 - Fr.
    EK2 - 800

    1939:

    RK - Cased S&L B type w/magnetic core (post war assembled)

    EK1 - Cased S&L (4)
    EK1 - Cased K&Q (65)

    EK2 - Übergroße
    EK2 - Schinkelform (intermediate)
    EK2 - Round 3 (Plateau)
    EK2 - Schickle
    EK2 - Early Frame Godet.
    EK2 - Marked Katz & Deyhle (60) with matching marked packet
    EK2 - Marked Lauer (14) with matching marked packet

    EK2 Spange - L/11 marked Deumer
    EK2 Spange - Unmarked Ziemer & Sohne

    My current aim (when I can bear to part with more) is to eventually just have one example of each type cross from each era.
    Obviously I would love to get 1813 examples but I cannot see that happening, and I will not be attempting to go for any Grand Crosses either! So, realistically, at the moment I'm looking to add an 1939 EK1 spange and a 1957 RK, but some of the above will have to go to finance them.

    You have a wide ranging collection Danny, quantity counts for nothing against quality.

    Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....

    Very nice collection. Here, it sems to be the Versailles castle. In 1870, of course.
