Marked '20'? Can you show a pic of the makers mark please?
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
Oh dear...
It looks to me like the 'Stuttgart Fake' has reared it's ugly head again.
Never heard of a marked '20' before.
Sorry for the bad news. Can you return it?
Regards - Danny
Oh has a very chrome like look to it
I can see the '20' on the suspension ring.
I would get your money back Gwar, Danny is correct in what he says.

Can anyone elaborate on the Stuttgart Fake, please? It's a first for many of us, I'm sure...
This is one of the more convincing fakes I've seen...
cheers, Glenn
Yes I am also interested in the findings as well.... Thanks guys.... I must find some time to research more often before making purchases.....Gwar
Hello Glenn,
These are a recent fake (as in the last few years). As far as I am aware, they were first brought to attention by Daniel on WAF. He spotted some of them for sale at a market in Stuttgart and photographed them.
When they first appeared they had a 'hump' at the top of the frame very similar to the one seen on genuine Deschler crosses, but later versions have been found without this hump - like the one Gwar posted here. They also seem to have attempted to copy the distinctive cornices found on Souval crosses, but have not quite managed it. To me, I believe that their main giveaway is the very wide bead step combined with the Souval-esque corners.
They are appearing everywhere lately and many collectors have been fooled - as seen in the picture below, they are even appearing as battle damaged relics!!
Regards - Danny
