Hello and welcome to the forum.
This is not an Eisenes Kreuz (EK), it is a Spange or bar to the EK1. It was awarded in the Third Reich era to anyone who had won the EK1 in WW1 and then distiguished themselves in WW2. Instead of another EK being awarded, a Spange was given instead which was worn above the EK1 from WW1 on the left breast pocket. There was a similar award for the EK2.
Unfortunately the example you've posted is a well known fake and appears regularly with different makers marks.
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
Many thanks , The site was asking £120 ? . I am glad i did not buy it .
