    can anyone help me with an identification of maker? it would be greatly appreciated
    cross is unmarked silver frame 3 piece and has that great been there look

    No, look at the corners and you will see what appears to be a claw (Souval only). Here is a link L/58 Rudolf Souval, Wien - EK1 DNA. Jim

    I see the corners almost look like they have birds claws in the corners. Now I know what to look for as far as L/58 marked and unmarked souval pieces.

    I like the combat worn, knocked about look to it Chuck...... but that means it wont appeal as much to the 'mint frosted' brigade.
    Bear this in mind for resale - wear does affect the value to some folk.

    danmark thanks for the advice, it has that been there look. also i believe the centerpiece has had its paint removed to stand out more in wear on the uniform. kinda neat as i have seen alot of that type of thing done. i got er in a swap for a bayonet.

    anyhow i just listed another 1st klasse, and one 2nd class in the eisernes kreuz forum for identification as well.
