One more EK2 for the collection

A freind brought this home for me from a recent trip to Austria. It's a good looking cross with some nice detail. I can't figure out the maker mark. Is it a 3 or 8 ? My eyes aint what they used to be.

I included a pic with my other crosses. All comments are welcome. Enjoy, Al.

unfortunately I have not a good notice for the last cross from Austria, it is not a good one, it 's a well known fake.
in the 2nd pic I see nice crosses and the minty set by Deschler, very nice.

It's not an original makers mark or cross I recognise. I believe it is a fake cross trying to be Souval.

Thank you Gentlemen, I'm sorry to hear that. I will not tell my friend as it was a gift. I was easily fooled myself. The dimensions and detail seem identical to others I have seen. Only the makres mark did not look familiar. It seems a lot of work to duplicate a medal of relatively low value, although I don't know how much my friend paid for it. Thank you

It is a very good copy Aldo so don't feel too bad about it. Most Third Reich awards, if not all are copied to some degree because someone, somewhere is making money at the out of it. There are good copies and bad and this is one is intended to deceive.
I hope you don't mind but I will add this example to the 'Fake EK2' thread.
