I'll move this one to the correct forum but in my humble opinion, this is a fake cross. The beading pattern does not match any known and accepted original EK2.
The only maker who made a cross with outer corner beading like this was Souval and this is not a wartime Souval. The inner corner beading is unlike anything I've seen before on an original cross.
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
