Thanks Nick.
Thanks Nick.
Here's my EK2 collection of one............
The EK2 I purchased in a Suffolk antiques shop 20 years ago - it is ring-marked '55' ( when I bought it I'd never even heard of 'ring marks' ).
The certificate I bought ( for a lot more than I paid for the medal ! ) from a forum-recommended dealer last week. It is signed by General Werner Forst, himself a Knights Cross with Oakleaves recipient, at the time commanding 293. Infanterie-Division. 293 fought on the Eastern Front from the beginning of Barbarossa until virtual destruction and disbandment in November '43, so this makes a nice addition to my Eastern Front collection.
Two very nice items Martin !
