A very fine collection, Adrian. How long have you been collection the EK's?
I would love to see that mounted 1870..
Thanks Sonny, I started collecting them properly about four or five years ago and concentrating on obtaining all the makers. Obviously I've slowed down a bit now as the few examples I need to complete the collection are the rarer ones. (You know, the doubles you have in your collection....... )
Here are a couple of shots of the 1870.

Haha, you got one of them the other day, remember? And there are one for Nick also, so don't say that I keep them all for myself. I have only 2 L/16's left then.

I love that 1870 mounted that way. I have to get one of those one day.
I will say it again, a really fine collection

Thanks Nick, here are the crosses on bows. These are old pics so not the best. The one mounted with the silver monogram is a Klein & Quenzer, the one on a ladies bow is a Paulmann & Crone.

I love them, never seen those before Not many females won the EK2 so that must be a scarce bow!

It will take a time before I would be starting collecting them by maker, because I have so many other things I like to add to the collection, but the 1870 is realy nice and I would like a similar one.
Always looking for Belgian Congo stuff!

I've posted the monogrammed cross before, one of my favourite pieces. I have never come across a setup such as this and it intrigues me. I have no idea why it is mounted like this, could it be for a female recipient or the wife or mother of the awardee who mounted her fallen son or husband's EK after his death and placed his initials in silver upon it? Was it a male recipient who mounted it like this? So many questions and possibilities.

It could be the same for the P&C cross, I have no way of knowing if either cross was a female award but the chance is there I guess!
