Like your other 'purchase', this is not a period piece.

For starters, the silver stamp should be 900 and not 800

The cross also appears to have been painted on the obverse side. Note the splashes of black paint on the inner edges of the frame, especially in the vicinity of the swastika.

Looking at the weave of the ribbon, that is also a reproduction. The edges give it away. The photo below shows the period-correct weave method.

Somehow I don't sense a "team player" here?

Starting a thread and then deleting images apparently because you don't like the comments you implicitly invite by posting in the first place is really unhelpful to others who may be seeking references to assist with their own questions.

Removing the images leaves a void like a missing page in the reference book you just went to and is just a waste of forum space.

Members assisting other members is central to the forum ethos or did I get that wrong?

I don't often visit this area of the forum but I did as the appeal of an RK drew me in and I was very unhappy to find the images were gone. the same for the oakleaves thread.

The photos are posted on WAF also. I will save them and restore both threads if they are still there when I get home.
