Most all Klein & Quenzer OLS's are modern fakes. The edges of the reverse side of this pair are rough and crudely finished. Unfortunately, I would have to say that this pair is simply one of the many fairly recent K&Q's that have been hitting the market.

......and not a 57er set either, the way to tell, is that on a 1957 set the cross piece/hilts of the swords are joined to the other swords blade, and there is no detail on the reverse of the swords, on WW2 versions they do not touch as on the above set.......see this 57er set for comparison
Prost ! Steve.
The ribbon is not pre 1945 either in my opinion.
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
Hi Steve!
Thanks, I've learned something today and desided to let it go.
Cheers
