Exclamation S & L Ritterkreuz... Real or fake?

    Hello to everyone!

I have been offered for direct purchase a presumably "genuine" unissued "Steinhauer & Lück" cased Knigths Cross whose pics are attached below. The item will be listed for auction shortly. In your opinion is it real or just another fake?

    Many thanks in advance!

Am not particularly loving the file work on the obverse beading, but these were hand made awards, so it's still acceptable. I don't see any glaring immediate problems with this one. No clue on the case or ribbon section. What are they asking for it and is it guaranteed with return privilege?

    Hi Wagriff,

Thank you for your comment, the seller is asking 4500€ for a direct sale, prior of listing it for auction. He offers a lifetime warranty. Is this a good price for this particular cross?

    Hi again...

The seller of the RK just advised that finally he decided to list the RK for auction at Militaria321 a few hours ago because he expects to achieve a more comfortable amount with its sale. If you want to take a look, search for "Ritterkreuz im Etui+Band in ungetragenem Bestzustand!!!"

    All my best!

A shame, as 4500€ would have been a more than fair price for it. It makes you wonder what kind of a seller the person is, to make offers to sell and then change their mind.
