Screwback Eisernes Kreuz 1. Klasse
I was offered this little number the other day and immediately had my doubts. Although it's a lovely looking piece, I was immediately alerted to the fact that there was no anti rotation peg, and also the makers number being 51 threw up a red flag too.
It is a very good weight and measures up, and has a good convex shape and lovely patina. But is it a very good fake? I think so. Any thoughts chaps?

This is a fake. This maker with that mark didn't make these. The marking also belongs on the cross and not the screw back. Also the screw back has not the details it should have. I believe there is a list somewhere on this forum which mentions al the makers of screw back ek1's. This one isn't in there.

Thanks Juncker93, appreciate your reply. Shame seeing as it's such a nice looking EK.
