    Thanks guys,
I also happy with my LDO collection, but I still miss the L/18 to have a complete collection.
It's very hard to find. I only know of 2 examples in collections.

That's a photo not many collectors can share! A rare group of crosses and even more enviable is that you have doubles in there as well. Congratulations Sonny, I hope I can get a photo like that in the not too distant future!
Thanks Adrian. Yes, I have double of L/11,L/13,L/16,L55 and L/56. I hope to trade some of them for a L/18 some day.
Do you have some LDO's on the way?

Unfortunately not Sonny, I've only just come back online in the last week after some computer problems and haven't had the chance to look around, I haven't bought anything since November time I think!

Then you have a lot of money in the bank for them.
Well, the only I have seen for sale are a couple of L/11, so you haven't missed much LDO's.
My L/11 set was from a auction.
The other I got was from good collector friends, so was never set for sale.
But I found a Schinkel B in the time you where offline

Unfortunately not - had to buy a new computer! You''ll have to sell me one each of your L/16 and L/55 so you can get the L/18 when you find one!

    Hi Barry,
The link posted above is a good reference, here is also something I've posted before in answer to a similar question, I hope it helps:

Basically the award manufacturers were given a Präsidialkanzlei (PKZ)
number, for example Deschler was number 1, Juncker was number 2, right
through to A.D. Schwert who was number 142. Some makers were authorized to
make EKs, some weren't. In addition, certain manufacturers were granted an
LDO license to make awards for private purchase and given an LDO number.
This had no relation to their PKZ number. These companies were allowed to
make awards for private purchase and had to mark them with their 'L' number.
So, Deumer made EKs marked '3' and also 'L/11'. The awards marked '3' were
used as award pieces and issued in the field, at award ceremonies etc. The
pieces marked 'L/11' were sold directly from Deumer or from approved outlets
for awardees who wished to buy another example of their award. An EK
recipient might want to keep his award medal at home, at barracks, send it
to his wife or parents etc. He might then also wish to have an example court
mounted for use on this best uniform, so he would go the maker or an outlet
that sold EKs, provide proof he was entitled to the award and purchase an
    LDO marked cross.
LDO numbered awards are significantly rarer than their PKZ marked
counterparts due to the quantities of each made (or marked) in relation to
one another. LDO awards will often be found in good quality cases made
specifically for the piece whereas PKZ examples came in the blue paper
    envelope.
