    After going through the Spangle database it would seem this example is a fake, a nice fake but a fake none the less. I have zeroed in on the "filled" shoulders on the wings.
    Being an absolute novice I would appreciate confirmation of this as a fake.(secretly hoping it is legit)

    If you can confirm there is pebbling in the date bar, I would say it is a nice original example.

    The picture was not that good. under a magnifying glass it does indeed have the fine pebbling around the 1939.
    I will try to get a better picture with more detail.
