Thoughts? I posted pictures of an imperial iron cross for which I had the same suspicions. There's paint between the core and the frame which makes me think someone's attempted to refurbish it. Also there's no maker's mark. Is it even real?

Looks a good one and it doesn't seem touched-up to me.
A lot of crosses were not marked. I can't tell you who
made it, but someone will be along soon
    who will know.........

Outstanding, thank you. I have imperial EKs that don't show paint carrying over from the core to the frame, so I was a little suspicious. The core is also free to move in one of them.

Perhaps it was touched up on that one arm only ?
It's hard to see much with a dark shade butting
against a light silver or white material.........
    Regards,

    Steve.

    Hi

Can you post some clear, close up shots of the front and back please?

    Thanks

With respect, if you click the reverse and obverse pics above, you can get some magnification. Closer still?
