Unmarked Eisernes Kreuz 2 Klasse, can it be identified?

Article about: I just got this one today. It came in a paper packet, but has no makers mark. What sort of characteristics will help identify a non-marked example? Thanks in advance, Regards, Roger

if the cross came with the packet pictured, then it was made by the firm printed on the reverse,"walter & henlein, gablonz d. R."

I hoped that would be the answer, but it is so easy to put things together that didn't originally come that way that I had to ask.
    Thanks for your quick reply.

Don't forget, Walter & Henlein EKs are so far unidentified. We have many examples of packets such as the one above but no marked '109' EK.
I will add that the EK is of the same type as is normally found in W&H packets and it is likely the cross and packet belong together in this case but you need to keep an open mind.

Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....

I agree with Adrian! I have one on the way we can compare when it (eventually) gets here!
