Re: ww2 german spange
I'm probably wrong, if I am sorry, it's not my area of interest but something tells me that it's not right.

Re: ww2 german spange
Hi Callum I like the wiederholungspange!! It looks ok to me. They did make them like this I think. But don't quote me on that. If anything looks off about your version I would say that the prongs looked a little heavy (thick). This piece could be an aged Polish copy from last week though.
There is quite a good reference site you may be able to get more info from:
Iron Cross
Your order should not have come on the Iron Cross 39 ribbon, Even though the ribbon does looks authentic.
Regards.

hi thanks for the reply but i thought i should tell you that i have had this spange for over 4 years now i bought it off a dealer and he wasnt sure if it was original or fake. but i think if you compare it to the polish fakes its to highly detailed, you are right tho the prongs are to big but you never know in my opinion

Re: ww2 german spange
The poles age their copies now before they bring them over to England for re-sale / whole sale. Whats interesting is that the dealers buy them and sell them on as originals because they are so good now!
Here is my copy spange:
It is such a nice copy in silver, I don't think I would want an original. All copies now are very nicely detailed. Problem is, it makes original German items go up further in price.

Re: ww2 german spange
lf it were me,,,i would move on the spange and use the funds to buy one that was unquestionably authentic...
